Estimator & Project Manager - Construction

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Estimator & Project Manager to manage kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects from
initial estimating through completion. This position requires someone with hands-on knowledge of residential remodeling who
understands construction costs, materials, scheduling and subcontractor coordination. The ideal candidate can develop
accurate estimates, communicate confidently with homeowners and keep multiple projects organized and moving forward.
ESTIMATING & PROPOSALS

• Review plans, designs and project requirements.
• Work with kitchen designers, cabinet suppliers and vendors to establish project scope and material selections.
• Prepare detailed estimates including labor, materials and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor pricing for required trades.
• Prepare clear, complete proposals outlining project scope, pricing and anticipated timelines.
• Review proposals with homeowners and answer project-related questions.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Manage remodeling projects from approval through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Coordinate in-house employees, subcontractors, vendors and material deliveries.
• Confirm that materials and subcontractors are scheduled when needed.
• Monitor project costs, timelines and progress.
• Identify potential problems or delays and work to resolve them before they impact the project.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure projects meet company quality standards.

CLIENT & SUBCONTRACTOR COMMUNICATION

• Serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the project.
• Provide regular project updates and respond to questions or concerns.
• Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
• Coordinate changes to project scope and communicate their impact on pricing and scheduling.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous estimating and project management experience in residential construction or remodeling.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen and bathroom remodeling.
• Ability to read plans and understand construction documents.
• Working knowledge of construction materials, labor requirements and subcontractor pricing.
• Strong scheduling and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working independently and making day-to-day project decisions.
• Experience with estimating and project management software preferred.
