Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on electric and hybrid vehicle powertrains, including batteries, motors, inverters, and associated electrical systems
Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts, and brake repairs tailored to EV/hybrid models
Utilize schematics and automotive electrical system knowledge to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic issues
Repair and service automotive suspension systems, transmissions, mechanical systems, and diesel engines when applicable
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and advanced diagnostic software to ensure precise repairs
Follow safety protocols related to high-voltage systems and ensure compliance with industry standards for vehicle maintenance
Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs
Qualifications
Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a focus on EV or hybrid vehicles is highly preferred
Dealership experience or familiarity with Tesla vehicles is a plus but not required
Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, electrical systems, transmission repair, and diesel engine repair
Proficiency in reading schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues efficiently
Experience working with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, alignment services, shocks & struts, and tire service
Ability to work with heavy equipment mechanics tools
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients
Valid certifications in automotive repair or mechanics are advantageous; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with evolving technology
