Excavation Machine Operator

We are looking for an experienced Excavation Equipment Operator to join our team. Full-time or part-time opportunities are available.
We are seeking someone who is dependable, self-motivated, works well with others, and takes pride in getting the job done right. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently when needed but understands that successful site work requires good communication and teamwork.
Qualifications & Responsibilities

• Prior experience operating excavators and other heavy construction equipment
• Knowledge of site layouts, elevations, grades, benchmarks and reading site plans
• Experience with site excavation, grading, trenching, drainage, utilities, backfilling and general site development
• Ability to establish and maintain proper grades, and elevations
• Familiarity with laser levels and other grading/layout equipment
• Ability to safely work around underground utilities and active construction sites
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic equipment maintenance
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety and proper equipment operation
• Team-oriented and able to work well with laborers, operators, drivers and supervisors
• Good communication and time management skills
• Self-motivated and able to recognize what needs to be done without constant direction
• Able to productively fill downtime and assist with other job-site tasks when equipment operation is not required
• Dependable, punctual and ready to work
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• CDL preferred, but not required
• Experience required
