Awalix, LLC is recruiting for the position of Excavator Operator. Regional office is in Boise, Idaho. This is a regular full time position for work in Boise, Idaho, the regional Northwest, Alaska and Hawaii. We currently have an array of federal projects in the Northwest that will require travel, but will also have local projects in Idaho as well. Applicants for this position should be very well versed in heavy civil construction, have an introductory understanding of GPS /grade control, have in-water work experience, understand trenchwork scopes, mass excavation, and have materials processing/transfer/placing skills. Opportunities for advancement, additional operator training / experience, and exposure to remote projects in scenic locations. Requirements will include 6+ years experience reading plans/specifications to put into practice. Understand trenching, bank stabilization techniques, utilize shoring / trench boxes and other means of safe work space disciplines. Work on waterways, including in-water work, and safely working on sloped grades. Ability to work well on a crew with a teamwork mentality. Travel out of town for DBE Prevailing Wage projects includes per diem for housing/food and mobilization.
