Leo’s Sewer and Drain is looking for experienced equipment operators, pipe layers, and excavation laborers to join our growing excavation department!
We specialize in residential and commercial underground sewer and water line repairs and replacements, including work in public rights-of-way, streets, sidewalks, and private properties.
We have STEADY, YEAR-ROUND WORK and are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who know how to get the job done safely and efficiently.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE
1. EXPERIENCED EQUIPMENT OPERATORS
Operate excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and other excavation equipment.
Experience digging around underground utilities.
Knowledge of trench safety, shoring, and excavation procedures.
Experience with sewer and water line excavation in public rights-of-way.
Ability to read utility markings and understand depths and grades.
Knowledge of city inspections and permitting requirements.
Ability to lead a crew and maintain a safe, productive jobsite.
2. EXPERIENCED PIPE LAYERS
Install and repair underground sewer and water lines.
Experience working with PVC, SDR35, Schedule 40, and other underground piping.
Understand proper pipe slope, grade, bedding, and connections.
Experience installing sewer cleanouts, water services, ect.
Ability to work efficiently with equipment operators and excavation crews.
Knowledge of proper backfill and compaction procedures.
3. EXCAVATION LABORERS
Assist with residential and commercial sewer and water excavations.
Hand dig around utilities and existing underground piping.
Assist with pipe installation, bedding, backfill, and compaction.
Load and unload equipment, tools, and materials.
Maintain a clean and safe worksite.
Must be dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous excavation experience preferred.
Equipment operators and pipe layers must have relevant experience.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Strong understanding of jobsite safety.
Must take pride in quality workmanship.
