Description
Busy Shop in Burleson, looking for experienced a Diesel Technician. We offer competitive pay and time off. Monday thru Friday 40 hour work week with some overtime opportunities. After 90 days will offer paid medical insurance for the employee, and paid time off.
Tech performs inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel trucks and equipment, focusing on moderately complex tasks like brake systems, clutches, engines, and lighting, handling preventive maintenance and using diagnostic tools for safe.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Repair: Diagnose and fix issues in diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and electrical systems.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, fluid checks, oil changes.
System Overhauls: Perform major engine repairs, electrical work (alternators, starters), and emissions system work.
Safety Checks: Ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance.
Skills & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma/GED plus vocational training or a diesel technology program.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic software, hand/power tools, and specialized equipment.
Certifications: ASE certifications (Automotive Service Excellence) are beneficial.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail.
Work Environment
Works in truck shops.
