Description
At Willard Garage, we've built a reputation for expert repair and client service in Waukee since 2014.
We specialize in accurate and paid diagnostics and quality fixed-right-the-first-time system repairs. We operate with integrity, transparency, and respect for both our clients and our team.
Do you know your stuff, take pride in your craft, and do you want to work in clean, heated, air-conditioned bays? Do you want to be part of a team that works independently but also looks out for you when you need a hand?
What else is different about Willard Garage?
No weekends, unlimited earning potential, clean spacious work bays, growth in your craft and advancement potential.
Brand new 15 bay shop, spacious, fully equipped with new equipment, very well-lit, latest diagnostic tools, close access to multiple shared bays.
We are an independent, strong, family run, local mechanic-and-wife-team-owned, professional repair business.
We hire the best, we expect and train for quality over quantity. Your work will be challenging, you’ll be rewarded for excellence, and your team and Service Advisors will have your back.
We’re in the heart of Waukee, an amazing medium-sized community with an explosion of new entertainment, dining, sports, and yes probably too many coffee shops and banks. Check out The Palms Theater & IMAX, Vibrant Music Hall, The Coffee Smith coffee shop, Target, many chain and local restaurants, extensive Racoon River Valley bike trail 1 block from the shop, and much much more.
Waukee is on the very edge of the metro, our shop is 1.5 miles from open country farm fields, and only 15 miles from the Des Moines Civic Center and East Village in the heart of Des Moines.
We take time to connect as a team: one-on-ones with the owners, weekly team meetings, monthly lunches, annual team training at Vision KC, and other events.
Our clients trust us. They’re not chasing the cheapest repair, they chose us for quality, safety, integrity, and transparency.
Are you who we’re looking for?
Advanced and reliable experience in diagnostics and repair on all-makes. Preference given for European brand diagnostic and repair experience. Ability to perform all levels of line repair on all-makes. ASE certifications are preferred and provide pay premiums but are not required.
Team mindset and ability to work independently. Yes both.
Fully stocked tool box/s with everything needed.
Clean work habits, clean bay, for our clean shop environment. Pride in how your work is finished, and how the car leaves the shop.
Curious, coachable, and eager to grow in a solid long-term team.
If you’re ready for steady work, full schedule, full bays, valued contribution and a say in how the shop runs; if you feel like your skills are under-utilized or under-appreciated, check out a shop that respects you, your contribution to repair excellence, and a team that works together to deliver.
