Strait Mechanical LLC is seeking motivated Apprentice Plumbers and experienced Journeyman Plumbers to join our team in the Cheyenne area. Our office is located in Evans, Colorado, and we perform work throughout Northern Colorado, Cheyenne, and surrounding areas.

Journeyman Plumber Responsibilities

Interpret building plans and working drawings to determine installation requirements.
Lay out and install plumbing systems according to applicable codes and specifications.
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand and power tools.
Install valves, fittings, fixtures, and piping systems.
Test plumbing systems and identify leaks or deficiencies.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local plumbing codes.
Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite organization.
Track materials and assist with supply management.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Complete production and quality documentation.
Support team success and project completion.
Apprentice Plumber Responsibilities

As an Apprentice Plumber, you will work directly under the supervision of licensed plumbers while learning the trade.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with assembling, installing, and repairing plumbing systems.
Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe and fittings.
Locate and prepare openings for pipe installation.
Perform plumbing rough-ins and fixture installations.
Assist with water heater replacements and plumbing repairs.
Help install valves, pumps, tanks, and system components.
Test plumbing systems and identify leaks.
Maintain safe work practices and clean job sites.
Work from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts as required.
Support project teams as needed.
