EXPERIENCED AUTO GLASS TECHNICIAN – 5+ YEARS REQUIRED

Summit Glass Company is looking for an experienced Auto Glass Technician to join our team. We are a locally owned and operated glass company serving Northern Nevada and surrounding areas, and we are looking for someone who knows the trade, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a growing company.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years of professional auto glass installation experience — REQUIRED
• Must be experienced in windshield, door glass, back glass and quarter glass replacement
• Must understand proper removal, preparation, urethane application and installation procedures
• Must be comfortable working on a wide variety of makes and models
• Must be able to work independently and troubleshoot difficult installations
• Must take pride in clean, quality workmanship
• Must be dependable and show up ready to work
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
• Experience with ADAS-equipped vehicles is a plus
• Experience removing/reinstalling moldings, trims, cowls, cameras and sensors is a plus
• Laminated flat-glass cutting and installation experience is NOT required, but is a big plus

WHAT WE DO

We aren't a windshield-only shop. Our work includes:

• Windshields and complete auto glass replacement
• Mobile and in-shop installations
• ADAS calibration
• Heavy equipment and commercial vehicles
• Semi trucks
• RVs and specialty vehicles
• Classic and custom vehicles
• Laminated glass fabrication and installation
• R&I work for body shops
• Difficult and specialty glass jobs other shops often turn away

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for an experienced technician, not an entry-level trainee.

You should be able to look at a job, understand what needs to be done, protect the customer's vehicle, perform a proper pre-inspection, complete the installation correctly, and leave the vehicle as clean—or cleaner—than you found it.

Quality matters to us. We would rather have someone take the extra time to do a job correctly than rush through it and create problems later.

We're looking for someone who wants to be part of a team, communicates well, helps coworkers when needed, and takes ownership of their work.

Competitive pay based on experience and skill level.

If you have significant auto glass experience, specialty vehicle experience, laminated glass experience, or other skills that make you especially valuable, we want to hear about it.
