Experienced Automotive Mechanic /Automotive Diagnostic Technician

Qwik Auto Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join our professional service team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong diagnostic capabilities, technical proficiency across vehicle systems, and a commitment to performing accurate, high-quality repairs.

This position is best suited for an individual who can properly diagnose vehicle concerns and execute repairs efficiently and correctly, rather than relying on trial-and-error part replacement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on engine, electrical, drivability, and mechanical systems
• Accurately identify root causes of vehicle concerns and recommend appropriate repairs
• Complete general automotive repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, and cooling systems
• Perform engine and transmission replacements as required
• Verify repairs through testing and quality control procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Collaborate effectively with team members while working independently when needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Experience performing engine and transmission swaps
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Must supply own professional tools
• Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE Certification(s)
• Experience servicing a wide range of vehicle makes and models
• Advanced diagnostic or electrical repair experience
