Autotek International is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our established, professional repair shop in Portland.

About the Position:

You will diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair a wide variety of vehicles, including European, Japanese, Korean, and domestic vehicles.

Responsibilities include:

Mechanical, electrical, drivability, and computer diagnostics
Vehicle inspections and maintenance
Repair work following manufacturer procedures and specifications
Road testing as needed
Clearly communicating diagnostic findings and repair recommendations
Proper documentation of repairs and diagnostic findings
Following torque specifications and shop procedures
Maintaining a clean and safe work area
Working independently while contributing to a team environment

What We're Looking For:

3+ years of professional automotive technician experience
ASE certification or Equivalent Knowledge
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of makes and systems
Valid driver's license
Own basic hand tools
Stable work history
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Experience with Tekmetric, ALLDATA, Identifix, PartsTech, and/or manufacturer-specific information systems is a plus, but not required.

We're looking for someone who is dependable, honest, takes ownership of their work, communicates well, works well with others, and wants to continue developing their skills.

Physical Requirements:

This is a hands-on technician position requiring standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and working around vehicles and equipment. Ability to safely handle materials weighing up to approximately 65 lbs. is required.
