Join Our Team – Used Vehicle Technician with Strong Diagnostic Capabilities
Are You the Technician Everyone Turns to When They Can’t Figure It Out?
SeaPort Auto Wholesale is looking for an experienced Used Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic capabilities to join our growing service team.
We are not looking for someone who simply replaces parts—we’re looking for a technician who understands how to diagnose. Someone who can efficiently identify the root cause of complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns, complete repairs correctly the first time, and help maintain the high standards our customers expect.
This position requires a technician who is equally comfortable performing complete used vehicle reconditioning as they are diagnosing the difficult problems that other technicians may struggle to solve.
Experience Required
Minimum of 7 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Proven experience diagnosing and repairing domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, engine performance, drivability, network communication, steering, suspension, braking, HVAC, and computerized vehicle systems.
Experience using OEM and aftermarket scan tools, digital multimeters, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service information.
ASE Certifications are preferred. Master Technician and L1 certifications are a plus.
What You’ll Do
Perform comprehensive used vehicle inspections.
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, and intermittent concerns.
Complete all reconditioning and safety repairs to dealership standards.
Accurately determine the root cause of vehicle concerns using proper diagnostic procedures—not guesswork or unnecessary parts replacement.
Perform quality repairs that minimize comebacks and maximize customer satisfaction.
Document inspections, diagnostic findings, and repair recommendations clearly and accurately.
Perform final quality control inspections before vehicles are released for sale.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Who Should Apply
This position is not intended for entry-level technicians or individuals whose experience is primarily limited to maintenance and routine repairs.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:
Diagnose difficult drivability and electrical problems efficiently.
