Experienced Boiler Repair Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Boiler Repair Specialist to service and repair boilers at properties throughout the Syracuse area. This position is focused on diagnosing problems accurately and completing safe, reliable repairs.

Applicants must have at least five years of hands-on boiler experience.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair steam and hot-water boiler systems
Locate and repair boiler and piping leaks
Remove, cut, re-thread, fit, and replace threaded pipe
Repair or replace valves, pumps, circulators, controls, gauges, expansion tanks, and related components
Troubleshoot heating, pressure, circulation, ignition, and control problems

Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and system inspections
Test completed repairs and confirm that systems operate safely
Clearly explain problems, recommended repairs, and required materials
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
Respond to emergency heating issues when required

Keep accurate records of completed work

Requirements:

Minimum of five years of boiler repair and maintenance experience

Strong experience repairing leaks and working with threaded pipe

Knowledge of steam and hydronic heating systems

Ability to diagnose complex boiler and heating-system problems independently
Familiarity with gas- and oil-fired systems preferred
Knowledge of proper combustion, venting, pressure, and boiler safety procedures
Must own or be comfortable using pipe-threading and standard boiler-repair tools

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation - no company vehicle
Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in basements and mechanical rooms
Dependable, professional, and able to communicate clearly
Relevant licenses or certifications are a plus
General plumbing skills are a plus.
