Position: Experienced Buckhoist Operator
Location: Tampa
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $16/hr
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Overtime/Weekends: Available depending on the project
Tower Eight Staffing is currently hiring experienced Buckhoist Operators for commercial construction projects throughout the Tampa Bay area. We are looking for dependable operators who have previous hands-on experience operating construction buckhoists/personnel and material hoists on active jobsites.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate buck hoists to transport workers, tools, and materials between floors
- Follow established loading and weight-capacity requirements
- Ensure gates and doors are properly secured before operation
- Communicate effectively with workers and site supervision
- Maintain an orderly flow of personnel and materials
- Perform basic pre-shift inspections of the hoist and surrounding area
- Immediately report equipment issues or unsafe conditions
- Follow all site-specific procedures and safety requirements
- Maintain a professional attitude when working with multiple trades on site
- Previous buckhoist operating experience required
- Commercial construction experience preferred
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety
- Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly
- Must be comfortable working on active multi-story construction sites
- Must be dependable, punctual, and available for the entire scheduled shift
- Proper work boots and PPE required
- Reliable transportation to the jobsite
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends when required by the project
