Description
O.B. Williams has been building custom architectural woodwork in Seattle since 1889.
We are seeking one experienced cabinetmaker with strong custom cabinetmaking or architectural millwork experience to join our team.
This is not production cabinet work, and this is not an entry-level position.
Our projects include custom cabinetry, architectural paneling, doors, mouldings, curved and radius work, CNC-supported fabrication, and one-of-a-kind residential and commercial interiors. Every project is different and requires craftsmanship, precision, and problem-solving.
The ideal candidate can independently build from shop drawings, solve problems in the shop, and consistently produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Fabricate and assemble custom cabinetry and architectural millwork
Work independently from detailed shop drawings
Read and interpret architectural woodwork shop drawings
Coordinate with CNC, Rough Mill, Door & Frame, and finishing departments
Perform precision fitting, assembly, and problem-solving
Operate professional woodworking equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain high quality standards with minimal supervision and rework
Take ownership of workmanship, efficiency, and final product quality
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years professional cabinetmaking or architectural millwork experience
Strong ability to read and work from shop drawings
Experience with custom architectural millwork, residential cabinetry, or commercial architectural woodwork strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
Able to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Professional production cabinetmaking or architectural millwork experience is strongly preferred. Furniture making, woodworking education, or hobby experience alone may not align with the requirements of this position.
