Highmark Builders is a small, hands-on residential construction company serving Donner Summit and surrounding communities. We specialize in custom homes and renovations with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and doing the work right.

We’re looking for an experienced carpenter to join our crew. This isn’t a position for someone who needs to be directed through every step of the day. We’re looking for someone who can look ahead, think through the work, communicate with the crew, and take pride in both their own work and the finished project.

The right person doesn’t need to know everything, but they should be experienced, dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable taking initiative. Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who works well as part of a small team. Respect, communication, and the ability to work alongside others matter here.

What we’re looking for:

Solid residential carpentry/construction experience

Ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong attention to detail and quality
Comfortable working through different phases of residential construction
Reliable and able to show up ready to work
Good communication and a team-first attitude
Comfortable working year-round in mountain conditions
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Commitment to a drug- and alcohol-free work environment
Someone interested in growing with a small company and taking on greater responsibility over time
What we offer:

$40–$50/hour, depending on experience
