Description
Mountain Pro HVAC Services is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Installer / Independent Subcontractor for a temporary commercial HVAC installation project in the Denver metro area.
THIS IS AN EXPERIENCED INSTALLER POSITION ONLY.
This is not an entry-level, apprentice, or general helper position. Applicants must have at least 5+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC installation experience. Applicants with 10 or more years of experience are strongly preferred.
COMPENSATION AND PROJECT DETAILS
- $30.00–$35.00 per hour, with over-time - based on verified experience, skill level, and ability to perform the required work.
- Temporary, project-specific 1099 subcontract assignment
- Start date: As soon as a qualified installer is selected
- Project location, schedule, expected duration, and payment terms will be discussed with qualified applicants
- No employee benefits are provided

Applicants must have hands-on experience with most or all of the following:
- Installing commercial rooftop package units
- Installing commercial air handlers
- Installing light-commercial and residential-style furnaces, evaporator coils, condensers, and split systems inside commercial buildings
- Installing refrigerant line sets
- Brazing refrigerant piping/ pro-press
- Nitrogen pressure testing, evacuation, charging, and system startup
- Installing condensate drain lines and related piping
- Installing flue pipe and combustion venting
- Installing commercial gas piping
- Installing sheet-metal ductwork, transitions, fittings, supports, and equipment connections
- Sealing and completing clean ductwork connections
- Equipment wiring and low-voltage control connections within the installer’s authorized scope
- Reading plans, taking field measurements, laying out work, and following manufacturer requirements
- Completing safe, clean, professional, and code-compliant commercial installations
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC installation experience
- Current EPA Section 608 Type II or Universal certification
- Must own the normal hand tools and cordless power tools expected of an experienced commercial installer. (Company tools can be provided if needed)
- Larger, specialty, and project-specific tools may be supplied as needed
- Reliable transportation to and from the project site is strongly preferred
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to report to the project on time
- Must be able to work independently and coordinate with the rest of the project crew
- Must be able to safely perform the physical duties associated with commercial HVAC installation
- Selected applicants must satisfy any lawful background-screening and project-site access requirements
- A criminal record will not automatically disqualify an applicant
- Must be able to complete a W-9 form for subcontracted services
