Experience Commercial Roofing Technician

We are seeking an experienced roofer to install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems. The ideal candidate brings proven field experience, sound knowledge of roofing materials and installation methods, and a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.

We have opportunities in our service department as a lead or technician, as well as our repair and replacement team either as a lead or supporting member of the team.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on roofing experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete installations and repairs with limited supervision.
  • Working knowledge of common roofing systems, materials, tools, and weatherproofing techniques.
  • Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and consistently follow company procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
  • Comfort working at heights and on steep- and low-slope roofs.
  • Ability to read measurements, perform basic construction math, and follow work orders and manufacturer specifications.
  • Dependable attendance, strong attention to detail, and effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record [if required].
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with EPDM, PVC, TPO, mod bit, slate or other systems relevant to our projects.
  • OSHA 10- or OSHA 30-hour Construction certification.
  • Experience leading small crews or training apprentices and helpers.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
  • Frequently climb ladders and perform bending, kneeling, balancing, reaching, and repetitive tasks.
  • Regularly lift and carry roofing materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to [50–80] pounds, with assistance or mechanical support as appropriate.
  • Work outdoors in heat, cold, sun, and other changing weather conditions, subject to safe-work decisions.
  • Work at heights while correctly using required personal protective equipment and fall-protection systems.
  • Travel to job sites within Greater Boston and work occasional overtime or weekends during peak periods or urgent repairs.
