Compensation: Up to $6,500 for fabrication and installation labor
Provided: Materials, equipped shop, and workspace
We’re looking for an experienced woodworker who can take ownership of custom projects from design review through fabrication and installation, with minimal guidance.
The initial project is a nine-seat dais. If this project goes well, there is substantial potential for ongoing projects and a long-term working relationship.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in custom woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, or architectural millwork.
- Ability to interpret designs, estimate labor, and develop realistic production schedules.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the initiative to suggest better construction methods.
- Ability to make production more efficient while maintaining quality craftsmanship.
- A demonstrated record of completing projects on time.
- Reliable communication and the ability to work independently.
- Review the design and identify fabrication and installation requirements.
- Develop an efficient build plan and completion schedule.
- Complete fabrication and installation within the agreed scope and timeline.
- Communicate progress and flag potential delays or issues early.
- Deliver quality finished work and complete any agreed punch-list items.
The labor budget is up to $6,500, including fabrication and installation. We provide materials, equipment, and shop space. Final scope, compensation, payment milestones, and completion date will be agreed upon before work begins.
