CNC Saw Operator – Stone Fabrication Shop

Experienced CNC Saw Operator Wanted

Tony Sciarrino Stone, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Saw Operator to join our growing team. We fabricate and install high-end quartz, quartzite, marble, granite, porcelain, and other surfacing materials throughout Southern California.

We are looking for someone with hands-on experience operating CNC bridge saws and working with vein-matching/layout software such as Slabsmith or similar programs. This is a skilled position for experienced stone fabrication professionals only.

Responsibilities:

Operate CNC bridge saw safely and efficiently
Perform digital slab layouts and vein matching
Utilize Slabsmith or similar software to optimize material usage and ensure proper vein flow
Read shop drawings, cut sheets, and fabrication layouts
Verify dimensions and material before cutting
Load and unload slabs using overhead cranes and forklifts
Maintain equipment and work areas
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
Assist with material handling and shop workflow as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of stone fabrication experience
Experience operating CNC bridge saws (Park Industries, Breton, BACA, CMS, Denver, Saberjet, or similar)
Experience with Slabsmith or similar vein-matching software REQUIRED
Ability to read fabrication drawings and cut sheets
Strong understanding of natural stone, vein flow, and book-matched layouts
Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
Ability to safely work around heavy stone materials
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
PPE & Safety Requirements (MANDATORY)

Wear company-approved respirators when required

Wear safety glasses with side shields at all times in production areas
Wear hearing protection when operating equipment
Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling stone, sharp materials, and fabricated pieces
Wear steel-toe work boots at all times in the shop
Follow all silica safety protocols and wet-cutting procedures
Participate in safety meetings and training
Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Mitered edges and waterfall layouts
Complex multi-slab vein-matching projects
CNC saw programming and optimization
Shop leadership or lead operator experience
