EXPERIENCED DECK CARPENTER / DECK CREW WANTED – SUBCONTRACT WORK
Simple Home Maintenance is looking for an experienced deck carpenter or small deck crew for ongoing subcontract work in the Cincinnati area.
I'm receiving a steady stream of deck repair and renovation leads and am looking for the right person or crew to handle the larger and more technical projects.
I'm looking for someone experienced with:
- Structural deck repairs
- Joist and beam replacement/repair
- Posts and footings
- Ledger boards and proper flashing
- Deck leveling and stabilization
- Stair and railing repairs
- Wood decking replacement
- Composite/Trex decking
- Deck resurfacing and rebuilds
- Understanding proper deck construction and code requirements
I provide the jobs and handle the customer, estimating, scheduling, collections and overall project management.
You provide the skilled labor and complete the agreed-upon scope.
This is subcontract/project-based work — not an hourly helper position. I prefer to agree on a labor price for each project before work begins.
For more complicated structural jobs, I'd like someone experienced enough to occasionally walk the project with me, help determine the proper repair, and provide a labor price.
YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- Significant deck/framing experience
- Your own tools and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage helpers if you have them
- Professional appearance and communication with homeowners
- Photos/references from previous work
- Liability insurance preferred
- Ability to provide a W-9
- Dependability — if we schedule a customer's project, I need you there
