Experienced Dryer Vent Cleaning Technician

We are building a different kind of home-service company: premium workmanship, transparent pricing, thoughtful follow-through, and no bait-and-switch tactics. We are looking for a proven dryer vent cleaning professional who takes pride in the work and in how customers are treated.

The opportunity

Join a new San Diego dryer vent cleaning company as its first field technician. This is a part-time W-2 position with variable hours based on booked customer work. We handle the brand, marketing, customer acquisition, pricing, scheduling, and payments. You bring the technical experience, professional equipment, reliable transportation, and excellent field service.

What you will do

Deliver expert service: Perform thorough residential dryer vent cleaning using professional-grade equipment.
Inspect and explain: Identify airflow restrictions, lint buildup, access issues, and safety concerns encountered during service; document and explain findings clearly without pressure selling.
Protect the home: Use clean work practices, appropriate containment, and before-and-after documentation.
Represent the brand: Communicate professionally, arrive prepared, and leave the work area cleaner than you found it.

Compensation & employment

• $35-$40 per hour, based on experience. This is a part-time W-2 role.
• Hours vary with customer demand. Work is scheduled around booked jobs; additional hours may become available as the customer base grows.
• No employer-sponsored health or retirement benefits initially.

What we are looking for

• Direct experience. Five or more years performing dryer vent cleaning is strongly preferred. This is not an entry-level training role.
• Equipment readiness. You own or can reliably access the professional equipment needed to perform accepted jobs safely and thoroughly.
• Relevant credentials. Certified Dryer Exhaust Technician (C-DET) or comparable training is strongly preferred.
• Reliable field performance. You can travel to customer locations across the San Diego area, communicate clearly, document your work, and provide professional references.
• Customer-first judgment. You recommend only work the customer actually needs and care about earning long-term trust, not maximizing a one-time ticket.

Preferred Certifications (Not required but a plus)

• NADCA Certification (Air Systems Cleaning Specialist – ASCS)
• OSHA 10 or 30
• HVAC Certification (EPA 608 a plus)
• Fall Protection & Confined Space Training
