Experienced Finish / Trim Carpenter Needed — High-End Residential Proj

We are a small, established general contracting firm specializing exclusively in high-end custom homes and large-scale residential remodels throughout Marin County and San Francisco.

We are seeking an experienced, lead-level finish carpenter to support our in-house team on a custom estate project in Ross, with the potential for ongoing work on future projects.

CSLB License Required

Applicants must hold one of the following active California contractor licenses:

• CSLB Class B - General Building Contractor
• CSLB Class C-6 - Cabinet, Millwork and Finish Carpentry Contractor

Your license must be current and verifiable. You must also carry the required contractor's bond and appropriate insurance.

Applicants without an active CSLB Class B or C-6 license will not be considered.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive high-end residential finish-carpentry experience
• Ability to read drawings and independently plan and lay out work
• Ability to identify and resolve potential installation issues
• Strong attention to detail and consistently high-quality workmanship
• Professional, reliable, and comfortable working in carefully protected luxury homes
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

• Interior and exterior doors
• Windows
• Casing and baseboard
• Crown molding
• Exterior trim
• Custom finish details

Additional experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

• Cabinet installation
• Complex stain-grade crown molding and trim
• Stair and railing installation
• Fine woodworking
• Saunas and other custom wood interiors
• Transitional-style estate homes

Quality and Productivity

Exceptional craftsmanship is essential, but productivity is equally important. We are looking for someone who works efficiently, maintains a steady pace, and completes work within reasonable production expectations without sacrificing quality.

The ideal applicant understands how to balance precision with progress and does not require excessive time to complete standard finish-carpentry tasks.

Compensation

Qualified licensed subcontractors are typically paid approximately $60-$85 per hour, depending on experience, skill level, productivity, tools, and the range and complexity of work they can perform.
