Experienced Finishing Technician Needed –10+ Years Experience Required

We are a professional leak detection and water damage repair company looking for an experienced finishing technician with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in interior repair and finishing work.

This position is ideal for someone who can confidently handle repair work from rough prep through finished completion, including light framing, insulation, drywall, plaster finishing, and detailed finish painting.

Primary Responsibilities:

We are looking for a technician who can perform or assist with:

Light framing

Insulation installation
Drywall hanging
Drywall finishing
Plaster repair and finishing
Sanding and surface prep
Detailed interior finish painting
Trim and minor carpentry repairs
Repairing walls, ceilings, closets, soffits, and other interior areas after leak or water damage repairs
Keeping work areas clean, protected, and professional
Communicating clearly with the project lead and office team

Preferred Skills:

Light electrical experience is a plus

Light plumbing experience is a plus
General carpentry skills are a plus
Experience working around water damage, mold remediation, restoration, remodeling, or punch-list work is strongly preferred
Ability to match existing finishes and make repairs look clean and complete

The Right Candidate Should Have:

Minimum 10 years of hands-on finishing experience

Reliable transportation

Strong drywall, plaster, and finish painting skills
Ability to work neatly inside occupied homes and businesses

This is not entry-level work.

We are looking for someone who already knows how to produce clean, finished results. Many of our jobs involve repairing areas after leaks have been located and corrected, so the client is expecting the property to be put back together properly and professionally.

Requirements:

10+ years of real experience with drywall, plaster finishing, and painting
Must be able to work cleanly and protect client property
Must be reliable and professional
Must be able to follow company procedures
Must be able to communicate job progress clearly
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Compensation:

Pay is based on experience, skill level, reliability, and ability to complete work independently.

Candidates with 10+ years of experience in drywall/plaster finishing, painting, light framing, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work will be considered first.
