Experienced Flat Roofer Needed

B&G Roofing is looking for an experienced Flat Roofer to join our team in a full-time position. We have been in the roofing business for 40 years and are looking for someone who has solid hands-on experience with flat roofing systems and takes pride in doing dependable, professional work.

This position is intended for an experienced roofer who understands the day-to-day demands of flat roofing work and can complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently with limited supervision. We are looking for someone who shows up ready to work, communicates well with the crew, follows jobsite safety procedures, and understands the importance of doing the job correctly.

The ideal candidate should have at least three years of practical flat roofing experience. Experience with Built-Up Roofing (BUR) and SBS Modified Bitumen roofing systems is important for this position. Applicants should be comfortable working with the materials, tools, equipment, and installation methods commonly used on flat and low-slope roofing projects.

Typical work may include preparing roof surfaces, removing existing roofing materials when required, installing roofing systems, handling roofing materials and equipment, completing repairs, assisting with flashing and detail work, and keeping the work area clean and organized. The exact duties may vary from project to project.

Because roofing work involves working at elevated heights, safety is an important part of this job. Applicants must understand basic roofing safety practices and be willing and able to follow all company safety procedures and required fall-protection practices. Relevant fall-protection or roofing safety training is expected. Additional safety or trade training is a plus.

A valid driver's license is preferred but not required unless needed for specific job duties. Previous experience working with propane equipment used in applicable roofing systems is also preferred.
