Experienced Framer Needed (~$30-$45/hr) + Framing Laborer (~$25/hr)

OC Renovation Group is a steadily growing residential framing and carpentry company serving Orange County. These are not an entry-level role and is intended for experienced workers. This position will have a focus on quality outdoor framing projects and you should be ready to do physical labor such as digging footings, hauling lumber and waste, demo, end-of-day cleanup.. You will be physically working alongside our owner who will lead the day. This is a W-2 employee position and pay depends on experience.

**FRAMING:**

-Room additions and remodels Framing Experience: new walls, openings, headers, tying into existing etc.
-Beam install for wall removal
-Blocking, backing, and fire blocking
-Floor and roof framing: joists, rafters, trusses, engineered lumber (TJI, LVL, PSL) ect.
-Sheathing to engineered nailing schedules
-Shear walls and load-bearing mods: Hardy Panel, Simpson hold-downs and hangers

GENERAL CARPENTRY:

• Footing forming, digging, rebar, concrete pour
• Anchor bolts, mudsill and sill plate
• Siding installation and repair
• Dry rot replacement
• Subfloor installation and repair
• Selective demolition

DECK CONSTRUCTION:

Deck framing and joist layout

Ledger board installation with proper flashing
Composite decking installation (Trex, TimberTech)
Post and beam construction
Proper drainage and slope for outdoor structures

STAIR FRAMING:

Stringer layout and cutting

Tread and riser installation
Code-compliant stair building

RAILING SYSTEMS:

Wood railing construction

Cable railing installation and tensioning
Composite, aluminum, and redwood railing systems
Code-compliant height and spacing

PATIO COVERS and PERGOLAS:

Post installation and setting

Beam and rafter construction
Roof attachment to existing structures
Lattice and shade structure installation
Eave and overhang construction
Roof sheathing installation
