Experienced Handyman Needed - Independent Work (Near O'Hare)

Now Hiring: Handyman + Helper (Part-Time to Start) – O’Hare Area

Geiger’s Remodeling is growing and looking to bring on two positions:

1) Experienced Handyman for residential service work in the O’Hare / NW suburbs area.
2) Helper (Entry-Level / Trainable)

🔹 POSITION 1: HANDYMAN (Experienced) This is not entry-level.

Must be able to:

• Handle drywall repairs + texture matching
• Do trim, doors, and basic carpentry
• Perform basic plumbing & electrical, including diagnosing issues
• Complete jobs start-to-finish without supervision
• Troubleshoot problems on-site

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience
• Own tools + reliable transportation
• Professional with customers
• Located within ~25 minutes of O’Hare

Pay:
$25–$35/hr depending on experience and independence

Work is not full-time guaranteed yet, but workload is growing and can become consistent. Starting Part Time

🔹 POSITION 2: HELPER (Entry-Level)

Great opportunity for someone newer to the trades (0–5 years) looking to learn and grow into a full technician.

You will:

• Assist with drywall, painting, and prep
• Help with installs (trim, doors, fixtures, etc.)
• Learn basic plumbing & electrical tasks
• Support general handyman or remodeling work

Requirements:

• Some hands-on experience (even DIY counts)
• Willing to learn and take direction
• Reliable transportation
• Basic hand tools to start
