Description
Building Energy is a locally owned and operated Vermont business currently seeking motivated individuals with previous experience installing heat pumps and/or solar to join our Electrification team. If you are ready for a leadership position in the renewable energy industry, we want to hear from you!
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining heat pump and solar PV systems. You should be comfortable working independently, following safety procedures, and delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
Install, commission, and service cold climate heat pump systems.
Install solar PV panels, racking, inverters, batteries, and associated electrical equipment.
Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
Complete electrical and refrigerant-related work in accordance with applicable codes and manufacturer specifications.
Work safely on roofs, ladders, and job sites.
Maintain accurate installation and service records.
Communicate professionally with customers and explain system operation and basic maintenance.
Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in safe working condition.
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience in heat pump/HVAC and/or solar PV installation.
Strong knowledge of heat pump systems, electrical wiring, and solar PV equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
