Island Breeze Air Conditioning is hiring an experienced residential HVAC Service Technician with strong diagnostic skills, positive energy, and excellent customer-service ability.

We need a technician who can confidently diagnose residential air-conditioning systems, identify the actual cause of a problem, explain findings clearly, and provide homeowners with professional repair options.

We are looking for an A-player who takes pride in their work, brings great energy to the team, and wants to grow with a fast-moving South Florida HVAC company.

ABOUT ISLAND BREEZE

We serve homeowners throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County. We are building a company known for excellent workmanship, honest recommendations, dependable service, and a customer experience that stands out.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, airflow, drainage, thermostat, blower, compressor, and control problems
  • Perform complete system evaluations before recommending repairs
  • Read wiring diagrams and use diagnostic instruments correctly
  • Check pressures, temperatures, amp draws, capacitors, temperature splits, and airflow
  • Complete approved HVAC repairs safely and professionally
  • Explain findings and options clearly to homeowners
  • Identify legitimate repair, maintenance, indoor-air-quality, and replacement opportunities
  • Document service calls with detailed notes and jobsite photographs in Housecall Pro
  • Maintain a clean uniform, organized vehicle, and professional work area
  • Protect the customer’s home and clean the work area before leaving
YOU MAY BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

  • Have strong residential HVAC diagnostic experience
  • Can find the root cause of a problem without guessing
  • Bring positive energy and a solutions-first attitude
  • Communicate confidently and respectfully with homeowners
  • Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work
  • Take ownership of your calls and follow through
  • Work well with technicians, apprentices, dispatchers, and management
  • Are coachable and want to continue improving
  • Understand that customer service is as important as technical ability
  • Want an opportunity to grow into a senior technician or leadership position

  • NATE certification is a plus but not required
