Compass Air is a locally owned, growing HVAC company looking for an experienced HVAC Technician/Installer to join our team. What You’ll Do

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems.

Perform routine maintenance, system inspections, and preventative service.

Install, replace, and commission HVAC equipment, including split systems and other residential systems.

Identify system issues and provide practical, professional recommendations to customers.

Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.

Ensure installations and repairs meet manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, and company quality standards.

Communicate clearly with customers about findings, recommended repairs, and completed work.

Maintain accurate service records, job notes, and equipment documentation.

Keep your work area, vehicle, tools, and job sites clean and organized.

Work collaboratively with the team while also being comfortable managing jobs independently.

What We’re Looking For

Hands-on HVAC experience in service, installation, or both.

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Solid understanding of residential heating, cooling, airflow, refrigeration, and electrical systems.

Experience installing and servicing residential HVAC equipment.

Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take ownership of your work.

A professional, positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Good communication skills and a commitment to treating customers respectfully.

Reliable transportation to work and a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable for company vehicle insurance.

EPA Section 608 certification appropriate for assigned refrigerant-handling duties.

HVAC tools and the ability to use them safely and effectively.

Schedule & On-Call Expectations

This is a full-time position serving Mesa and the surrounding East Valley. Applicants must be willing to work occasional evenings and participate in an on-call rotation to support customer needs. Some longer days, nights, weekends, and emergency service calls may be required depending on the schedule and workload.

This position requires local residency to support daily service calls and on-call rotations. Applicants located outside the East Valley will not be considered.
