EXPERIENCED Hydronic Heating Service & Boiler Install Technician

Summary

At Janes Radiant Heating, we're looking for a seasoned hydronic technician who wants to be known by name, not treated like a number. You'll earn a base of $63/hr, plus more with spiffs/commission and overtime opportunities. You're also paid portal-to-portal, so your drive time counts. You'll be working for a family-owned company that has been heating Western Washington homes since 1986 and cares for our employees.
Job Description
We're hiring a technician who can handle the full range of residential hydronic work, from radiant system repairs to full boiler replacements. You'll handle service repairs, maintenance, and full boiler replacements across our eight-county service area, alongside a team that knows the trade. You'll have a company van, solid dispatch support, and real earning potential. Your ability and effort decide how much you make.
This is NOT an entry-level position.
Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair residential boilers, radiant floor heating, and hydronic components
• Replace boilers and associated components, including pumps, controls, valves, piping, and expansion tanks, from removal through startup
• Walk homeowners through what you found, what you did, and what to expect
• Test and tune equipment for safe, efficient operation
• Clearly communicate recommended repairs or upgrades and earn spiffs/commission by doing it well
• Document service details thoroughly in reports and keep your workspace organized

Requirements

• Substantial hands-on experience installing and repairing residential hydronic boilers and radiant heating
• Working knowledge of electric, oil, or gas-fired and high-efficiency boilers and combi boilers, system controls, and hydronic piping
• Solid understanding of hydronic design, piping, controls, and combustion safety
• Confident handling both service calls and installations
• Strong communication and a customer-first attitude
• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment

Compensation

• $63.00 per hour
• Spiffs/commission on top of your hourly rate
• Overtime available
• Portal-to-portal pay: you're paid for travel time to and from job sites in your company van
