Experienced Large Frame Excavator Operator

About the Role

We are seeking skilled, reliable Excavator Operators with proven experience to join our crew right away. You will operate mid-to-large excavators on active dirt work, site preparation, utility, and excavation projects throughout the Kansas City metro area.
This is an immediate-need position with steady work and competitive pay for operators who can dig to grade, trench accurately, and work safely on busy job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, or similar) for digging, trenching, grading, backfilling, and material handling
• Dig to precise elevations and grades using laser, GPS, or grade stakes
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Work closely with site supervisors, laborers, and other equipment operators
• Follow all OSHA, company safety, and job-site protocols
• Load/unload trucks and assist with general site work as needed

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on excavator operating experience (preferred 5+)
• Proven ability to dig to grade and work accurately around utilities
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Reliable transportation and ability to start immediately
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GPS/machine control systems
• CDL Class A or B
• Current OSHA 10 or 30 certification
• Experience on utility, residential, commercial, or road projects in the KC area
