# EXPERIENCED LEAD PLUMBER

This is a leadership position for an experienced plumber who can not only perform high-quality plumbing work, but also **lead other plumbers, communicate with customers, identify additional plumbing needs, and help generate sales.**

## REQUIREMENTS

• **Minimum 7+ years of verifiable plumbing experience — REQUIRED**
• Strong residential and service plumbing experience, we do commercial as well
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Must be comfortable **selling and upselling plumbing services**
• Ability to explain plumbing problems and recommended solutions clearly to homeowners
• Strong leadership skills and ability to oversee and hold other plumbers accountable
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Dependable, organized, and punctual
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be a **team player** who is willing to help the company and other technicians succeed

## LEAD PLUMBER RESPONSIBILITIES

The Lead Plumber will be responsible for performing plumbing service work while also helping oversee the daily performance and quality of our plumbing team.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose plumbing problems and provide customers with appropriate repair and replacement options
• Prepare and present estimates to customers
• **Sell and upsell plumbing repairs, replacements, and additional services when appropriate**
• Follow up on estimates and help convert opportunities into approved work
• Oversee other plumbers and make sure assigned work is being completed correctly and efficiently
• Check workmanship and ensure company quality standards are being followed
• Assist plumbers with difficult diagnostics, repairs, and job-site issues
• Stay in regular communication with **dispatch throughout the workday**
• Check in and out of assigned service calls as required
• Complete detailed technician reports for **every work order**
• Upload clear **before, during, and after photos for every job**
• Document findings, recommendations, work performed, materials used, and any additional work needed
• Ensure invoices, estimates, reports, photos, and other required documentation are submitted promptly
• Communicate job status, delays, additional work, and customer concerns to dispatch/management
• Maintain excellent communication with customers from arrival through completion
• Help train, coach, and hold other plumbers accountable
• Maintain clean and professional job sites, vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Follow company procedures and all applicable safety requirements

## WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who **takes ownership of the plumbing department**, not someone who simply completes a service call and moves on.

The right candidate understands that being a Lead Plumber means being responsible for **quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, sales, communication, documentation, and the performance of the team.**

You should be comfortable leading by example, helping other plumbers improve, communicating with management and dispatch, and making sure jobs are properly documented and completed.

### Sales Experience Is Important

This position requires someone who can recognize additional plumbing needs and confidently explain those options to customers. You must be comfortable recommending and selling appropriate services such as repairs, replacements, water heaters, repipes, drain/sewer work, fixture replacements, pressure-related repairs, and other plumbing improvements.

We are looking for a plumber who understands the difference between **high-pressure selling and professional solution-based selling.** Our goal is to properly educate the customer, provide options, and earn the work.

## REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

**Plumbing: 7+ years verifiable experience (Required)**
