Experienced Mason

**412 Masonry & Restoration is seeking an experienced Mason to join our growing team.**

We are looking for a skilled, dependable mason who takes pride in quality workmanship and has experience with both new construction and masonry restoration.

This is a **full-time, year-round position** serving Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. Experienced masons will have the opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, including bricklaying, restoration, chimneys, lintels, repointing, and masonry repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Lay brick, block, and other masonry materials according to plans and specifications
• Perform new construction masonry work with attention to proper alignment, coursing, joints, and finish
• Perform historic masonry restoration and repair, including repointing and rebuilding
• Rebuild and repair chimneys
• Remove and replace damaged or deteriorated brick
• Replace and repair lintels and other masonry-related structural components
• Match existing brick, mortar color, tooling, and historic masonry details when performing restoration work
• Prepare work areas and materials for masonry installation
• Mix and properly apply mortar and other masonry materials
• Safely operate masonry tools and equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements
• Work independently as well as effectively with a crew
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, productivity, and professionalism

Qualifications:

• **Several years of professional masonry experience required**
• Strong bricklaying skills and knowledge of masonry techniques
• Restoration experience is highly preferred
• Ability to read and follow plans and specifications
• Ability to accurately measure, lay out, and complete masonry work
• Experience with chimneys, lintels, repointing, and masonry repairs is a plus
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely lift and handle masonry materials and equipment
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a professional masonry crew

Compensation & Benefits

**$30–$40 per hour, based on experience and skill level**
