Previous pool repair experience is required. This is not an entry-level pool cleaning position.

Job Summary:

Swim Clean Pool Services is seeking an experienced Pool Repair Technician to join our growing team.

This role is focused primarily on diagnosing, repairing, replacing, and installing residential pool equipment throughout the East Valley. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience working with pool pumps, filters, plumbing, automation systems, heaters, and other common pool equipment.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who can accurately diagnose equipment issues, recommend appropriate repairs, complete quality work, and communicate professionally with both our internal team and customers.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot pool equipment and system issues
Repair and replace pool pumps, motors, filters, valves, gauges, and related equipment
Perform pool plumbing repairs and equipment installations
Diagnose circulation, filtration, suction, and pressure-related issues
Troubleshoot electrical and automation-related pool equipment issues within your level of qualification
Perform filter repairs, grid replacements, sand changes, and equipment maintenance
Identify leaks or potential system failures and recommend appropriate next steps
Provide accurate repair recommendations and information needed to prepare customer quotes
Complete approved repairs efficiently and professionally
Test equipment after repairs to verify proper operation
Document all repairs, findings, parts used, and recommendations
Take before-and-after photos of completed work
Communicate professionally with customers when needed
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
Coordinate with pool service technicians when equipment issues are identified
Follow all company service and safety standards

Requirements:

Must own personal work truck
Previous professional pool repair experience required
Strong working knowledge of residential and commercial pool equipment and circulation systems
Experience diagnosing and repairing pumps, motors, filters, valves, and plumbing
Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment problems and determine appropriate repairs
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Reliable transportation; pickup truck preferred (company vehicle may be provided based on availability)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair appointments
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Professional communication skills with both customers and team members
Ability to work outdoors year-round in Arizona heat
Physical ability to lift equipment, parts, and materials and perform manual labor
Reliable attendance and punctuality

Required Qualifications:

Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO) certification

Experience with variable-speed pumps

Experience with pool automation/control systems
Experience troubleshooting pool electrical systems
Experience with heaters and salt systems
Experience with Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy equipment
PVC plumbing and equipment installation experience
Experience with acid washes, drain/refills, and other specialty pool projects
Experience providing repair estimates or identifying parts/materials needed for quotes
