Description
We are seeking a skilled SINGLE FAMILY Custom Residential Heavy Equipment Operator with a minimum of 3-4 years of full-time single family custom residential grading and excavation experience.

The successful candidate must be able to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment on uneven terrain and hillside slopes, including:
Large, mid-size, and mini excavators
3-yard wheel loaders
Backhoes, Skid steers, Gannon, Water trucks
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to complete residential excavation and grading projects accurately, safely, and efficiently with minimal supervision. Experience reading grading and construction plans.
The Heavy Equipment Operator plays a critical role in delivering quality work, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring that each job is completed to company standards.
Compensation: Competitive & based on experience.

Duties:
Operate heavy equipment including, loaders, backhoes, excavators large, mid, and mini, gannon and water truck safely and efficiently.
Read residential G & D plans. Shoot grades. Understand grade stakes, ability to achieve proper soil compaction, build pads, know and apply the AZ 310 rule.
Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with company owner to understand project requirements and timelines. Work well with your laborer.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction sites as needed.
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance, watch & report wear items early enough so they can be repaired in a scheduled manner: cutting edges, teeth, hoses, etc.
Willingness to labor outside of machine to complete job on time.
Carry small to mid-size tools in your vehicle, work without limitations in hot Arizona conditions
Willingness to communicate by text after hours for changes and updates.
Job Requirements
Background check with initial and periodic drug testing required. Clean driving record and 36 month MVD record required before hired.
Proven experience in heavy equipment operation within a construction environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on machinery a plus.
Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery and farm machinery is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and independently.
