Experienced Security & Fire Alarm Technician – F Card Preferred

PDI Security Systems, a family-owned Reno company serving Northern Nevada since 1964, is looking for an experienced Security and Fire Alarm Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and inspecting security and fire alarm systems. A Nevada State Fire Marshal F Card is strongly preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with solid industry experience who are working toward obtaining one.

Responsibilities include:

Installing and servicing commercial and residential security systems
Installing, testing, and inspecting fire alarm systems
Troubleshooting alarm panels, devices, wiring, and communication issues
Installing cameras, access-control equipment, and related low-voltage systems
Completing accurate service and inspection documentation
Communicating professionally with customers and other team members
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Preferred qualifications:

Previous security, fire alarm, or low-voltage experience

Nevada State Fire Marshal F Card
Ability to read plans, wiring diagrams, and system documentation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass applicable background and driving-record checks
Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
