About the Role

NLITN Energy Solutions is looking for an experienced Solar Installer to join our field crew. You'll be responsible for the safe, efficient, and code-compliant installation of residential solar PV systems from racking through final connection. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in clean work and wants to grow with a fast-moving installation company.

Responsibilities

Install solar racking, modules, and mounting systems on a variety of roof types (composition, tile, flat)
Run and terminate DC and AC wiring per code and manufacturer specs
Install inverters, rapid shutdown devices, and combiner/junction boxes
Read and work from plan sets, single-line diagrams, and permit documents
Perform pre-installation roof assessments and identify potential issues before they become problems
Coordinate with the Electrical Lead, and Project Manager to keep installs on schedule
Maintain a safe, organized job site and follow all OSHA and fall-protection protocols
Communicate professionally with homeowners on-site
Trade Skills & Experience Required
2+ years of hands-on residential PV solar installation experience
Prefer "Crew Lead" level experience
Tesla and Enphase Battery Installation experience preffered
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), particularly Article 690 (Solar Photovoltaic Systems)
Proficient with hand and power tools: drills, saws, crimpers, conduit benders
Comfortable reading electrical schematics and structural/racking layouts
Experience with roof penetration and flashing techniques across composition shingle, tile, and flat roofing
Basic understanding of string sizing, voltage drop, and system commissioning
OSHA 10 certification required
Comfortable working at heights and on ladders/roofs in varying weather conditions
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Physical Requirements
Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work on sloped roofs for extended periods
Comfortable with repetitive climbing, kneeling, and overhead work
