Experienced Stained Glass Artist

A growing Art Glass Studio is seeking a talented and experienced Stained Glass Artist to join our team. We specialize in designing, fabricating, and installing high-end custom stained and decorative glass for residential and some commercial projects throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:

Fabricate custom stained glass panels using copper foil and lead came techniques
Accurately cut, grind, foil, lead, solder, cement, and finish glass panels
Read and interpret design drawings and full-size patterns
Select and match glass colors, textures, and materials
Perform stained glass repairs and restoration when needed
Assist with quality control to ensure exceptional craftsmanship
Safely handle glass and maintain an organized, clean workspace

Qualifications
3+ years of stained glass fabrication experience
Strong knowledge of copper foil and lead came construction methods
Excellent soldering and finishing skills
Experience working with beveled glass and decorative glass assemblies
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
CAD or pattern design experience
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Preferred Skills

Glass painting or kiln-firing experience
Glass fusing experience
Installation experience
Woodworking or metal fabrication experience
Restoration of historic stained glass
