JOB DESCRIPTION
Precision Fabshop & Steel Solutions L.L.C. is hiring an experienced Steel Fabricator / Welder to join our growing team.
We specialize in custom steel fabrication, including staircases, handrails, structural steel buildings, and commercial and residential steel projects.
We are looking for a skilled, dependable individual who takes pride in their craftsmanship, can work independently, and has the experience necessary to complete fabrication projects accurately and efficiently.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Applicants must have hands-on experience in the following areas:
- Custom Staircase Fabrication: Ability to lay out, fit, and fabricate steel staircases, including mono-stringer and double-stringer designs, landings, and support structures.
- Handrail & Guardrail Fabrication: Experience building custom steel handrails, guardrails, and railing systems to precise measurements.
- Structural Steel Fabrication: Ability to fabricate structural steel components for steel buildings, including beams, columns, frames, braces, and connection plates.
- MIG Welding (GMAW): Must be proficient in MIG welding and capable of producing consistent, high-quality welds.
- Stick Welding (SMAW): Must be proficient in stick welding for structural steel fabrication and field applications.
- Blueprint Reading: Must be able to read and interpret fabrication drawings, structural plans, and measurements.
- Layout & Fit-Up: Ability to accurately measure, cut, square, fit, and assemble steel components.
- Shop Equipment: Experience operating saws, grinders, drills, and standard metal fabrication equipment.
- Proven experience in steel fabrication and welding.
- Proficiency in both MIG and stick welding.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to shop safety and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Starting Pay: $25.00 per hour
Higher starting wages are available for qualified applicants with demonstrated fabrication experience and the ability to independently handle complex projects.
