Description
Mid-Level Superintendent – Tenant Improvements (Office / Medical / Lab)
Location: SF Bay Area
Who We Are
We are a 100% employee-owned general contractor specializing in high-quality tenant improvement projects across office, medical, and lab environments. Our teams take pride in ownership—of our work, our projects, and our company’s future.
We’re not built for short-term stops. We’re built for people looking to grow, contribute, and stay.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Mid-Level Superintendent who wants more than just the next job. This role is for someone who takes ownership of their projects, values consistency, and is looking to build a long-term career with a stable, employee-owned company.
You’ll lead field operations on fast-paced TI projects, working closely with a team that values accountability, communication, and delivering high-quality work.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all on-site operations for office, medical, and lab TI projects
- Drive project schedules and hold subcontractors accountable to milestones
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional jobsite
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers to ensure alignment on scope, budget, and schedule
- Run subcontractor meetings and communicate clear expectations
- Ensure Safety Protocols are followed and ensure a safe jobsite.
- Ensure work meets plans, specs, and quality standards
- Build strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and building management
- Take ownership of project outcomes—from kickoff through closeout
- 5–10 years of experience as a Superintendent, primarily in tenant improvements
- Proven experience running office TI projects (medical and lab experience a plus)
- A track record of seeing projects through—not jumping between companies or roles
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and manage multiple trades effectively
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and technology.
- Ability to professionally communicate via email with clients, subs, and office staff.
- Clear communicator who can lead teams and resolve issues in the field
- You take pride in finishing what you start
- You value stability and long-term growth over constant movement
- You approach projects with an ownership mindset, not just oversight
- You build trust with subs, clients, and your internal team
- Employee ownership (ESOP) – a direct stake in the company’s success
- Consistent pipeline of TI work across office, medical, and lab sectors
- Competitive compensation and benefits package
- Vehicle allowance or company vehicle
- A team environment focused on long-term success, not quick turnover
