Experienced TIG Welder/Fabricator

Hartford area fabrication house is seeking a highly skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience to join our team. This role requires precision welding, strong fabrication skills, and the ability to work from blueprints and technical drawings to produce high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities

Perform TIG welding on various metals (including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel, as applicable)
Fabricate metal components and assemblies from prints, sketches, and specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
Set up, operate, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment
Measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal parts with a high degree of accuracy
Ensure welds meet quality, strength, and appearance standards
Inspect finished work and make adjustments as needed
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
Required Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a TIG Welder and Fabricator
Proven expertise in TIG welding
Strong fabrication skills, including layout and fit-up
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications

Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent)

Experience in a manufacturing or custom fabrication environment
Experience with light machining or additional welding processes (a plus)
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, and metal materials
