Key Responsibilities:

Upholster furniture with precision, ensuring high-quality finishes.
Work collaboratively on custom upholstery projects and meet client specifications.
Contribute to prepping, stuffing, finishing, and polishing tasks as needed.
Ensure accuracy and neatness in cutting, sewing, and finishing all upholstery projects.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in upholstery, with a strong portfolio of past work.
Skilled in various upholstery techniques and familiar with upholstery tools and materials.
Ability to interpret design patterns and sketches.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship.
Good time management skills.
Job Description:
Replace worn-out webbing, springs and other furniture parts using hand and power tools
Lay out, cut, fabricate and install upholstery according to sketches or design specifications
Tack, glue or sew ornamental trim, braids or buttons on upholstered items
Repair furniture frames
Operate sewing machines or sew upholstery materials by hand to seam cushions and join sections of covering materials
Install padding and underlays and fasten covering materials to furniture frames
Cut and sew fabrics, vinyls, and leather
Reupholster used furniture by tacking, stapling, sewing and gluing foam and materials
Staple materials, sew zippers, glue piping or other fabric trims, and hammer decorative nails
Inspect wooden framework for defects and make repairs as needed prior to upholstery application and other finishing work
May make upholstery patterns from sketches, customer descriptions or blueprints

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Willingness and ability to relocate to Maui, Hawaii.
