Window Covering Lead

Description

Experienced Window Covering Lead Wanted

All Trades General Contractors is hiring an experienced Window Covering Lead to join our team.
If you have strong experience in measure and installation of mini-blinds, vertical blinds, cellular shades, manual and motorized shade systems (Somfy and I/O), and are ready to lead crews while staying hands-on in the work, you would be a great fit for our team.

About All Trades GC

All Trades General Contractors (ATGC) has been the premier commercial finish carpentry contractor throughout Oregon and SW Washington since 1995.
We focus on commercial work, including multi-family projects, and stay busy year-round, so our crews don’t have to chase hours or worry about seasonal layoffs.
Our reputation is built on quality installations, reliable scheduling, and strong working relationships with general contractors. Our average time with the company is over six years, with several carpenters here more than a decade.

How We’re Seen in the Field

We regularly hear from superintendents and project managers that ATGC is their top choice for finish carpentry and window covering installation.
That reputation comes from:

  • Crews who show up prepared
  • Leads who communicate clearly and look ahead
  • Work that passes inspection with minimal punch
For our team, that means clearer expectations and fewer problems landing where they shouldn’t.
Position Type
Full-Time | Non-Union
This is a lead role—you will be responsible for guiding crews and owning the window covering scope in the field, while working hands-on alongside your team.

How We Run Our Work

We don’t control the entire job site, but we do control how we run our scope.

  • Leads receive drawings and scope information ahead of time
  • Jobs include kickoffs so work can be planned properly before crews arrive on site, drawings reviewed, scope clarified, and expectations set
  • Materials are coordinated and staged to support production
  • The office team responds quickly when issues come up.
The goal is simple: crews shouldn’t be guessing and are valued and supported.

When Plans Don’t Line Up

This is construction. Issues come up. When they do:

  • Our Leads work directly with the GC team, with the full support and backing of our office team.
  • Problems get addressed collaboratively with the GC, so decisions are made with the right information—not pushed down to the crew to “figure out.”
If you’ve ever been told to “just make it work” with bad or incomplete information, that’s not how we operate.
Our foremen look ahead, flag conflicts early, and work with the GC to fix problems before they slow the job down. It’s one reason supers and PMs trust our crews—and why our installers aren’t left out on an island trying to solve problems alone.
