Experienced Wood-Frame Carpenter Needed – Structural & Rot Repair

Property owners are looking for a **highly experienced wood-frame carpenter** to work directly for us on an existing wood-frame building.

Our immediate project requires removing exterior siding to expose the wall structure underneath. We need someone who is highly skilled at evaluating and repairing wood-frame walls and structural components, including replacing rotted or damaged studs, framing, sheathing, blocking, and other deteriorated wood before properly closing the wall back up and reinstalling the siding.

The most important skill for this job is wood-frame construction and repair, not just siding installation.

We need someone who understands how a wood-frame building is constructed and can open an existing wall, identify what has been damaged by rot or deterioration, determine what needs to be replaced, make the necessary repairs correctly, and rebuild the wall as needed.

There is additional renovation and construction work throughout the property, so there is potential for substantial ongoing work for the right person.

We are specifically looking for someone with previous experience in:

• Wood-frame construction and structural repairs
• Opening and rebuilding existing exterior walls
• Replacing rotted studs, framing, sheathing, and damaged wood
• Siding removal and reinstallation
• Diagnosing hidden damage once a wall is opened
• General carpentry and building repairs

**This is not an entry-level labor position. We need someone who has personally done this type of repair work before and knows how to properly rebuild damaged sections of a wood-frame building.**
