What you’ll do every day:

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll help keep our campus safe, functional, and welcoming for animals, staff, volunteers, and the public. Your work directly supports lifesaving operations.

You will:

-Assist with maintaining and repairing HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
-Perform general maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, door hardware, sheetrock repair, and painting
-Help maintain and repair small engines and equipment
-Keep the maintenance shop and work areas clean, organized, and safe
-Assist with unloading delivery trucks
-Work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in extreme heat or cold
-Safely use tools, ladders, and equipment while following all safety procedures
-Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional after-hours or on-call needs
-Travel between locations using company vehicles
-Represent Houston SPCA professionally with staff, volunteers, and the public
-Pitch in on other duties as assigned—because teamwork matters here
