Facilities Manager
Facilities Manager
Description
About the Role
Jack's Restaurant & Bar is looking for a hands-on Facilities Manager to keep six restaurant location running smoothly — from day-to-day repairs to preventive maintenance to vendor management. You’ll be the person who makes sure equipment stays working, small issues get fixed before they become big ones, and vendors deliver on cost and quality.
This is not a desk job. We need someone comfortable reviewing a vendor contract one hour and fixing a leaking faucet the next.
What You’ll Do
Preventive & Reactive Maintenance
Build and manage a preventive maintenance schedule and track compliance by location and equipment, including company vehicles
Own work order scheduling — intake, prioritize, assign (in-house vs. vendor), and track through close-out
Track equipment lifecycle and flag replacement needs before failure
Perform hands-on repairs (plumbing, electrical, drywall, furniture) to resolve minor issues without waiting on a vendor
Vendor & Cost Management
Negotiate and competitively bid vendor contracts
Oversee pest control and other recurring service contracts
Benchmark pricing across recurring spend categories to control costs
Systems & Documentation
Manage camera, access control, and alarm systems across all locations
Own and maintain the company’s operations binder / SOPs, keeping procedures current
Conduct standardized walk-through audits at each location
What You Bring
2+ years in facilities or maintenance management, ideally multi-site
Hands-on repair skills across basic trades (plumbing, electrical, drywall, general handyman)
Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts
Strong organizational skills — this role juggles many locations and many priorities at once
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between locations
What We Offer
Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
401K Match
Opportunity to build and own the operations function across a growing restaurant group
