Position Summary

The Gas Fireplace Field Service Technician is responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gas fireplaces in residential and commercial settings. This position requires travel to customer locations, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair gas fireplaces and related venting systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks.
• Maintain a high level of quality workmanship.
• Educate customers on the operation and care of their fireplaces.
• Maintain accurate service records and work orders, utilizing mobile device throughout the workday.
• Ensure all work complies with company specifications and safety standards.
• Manage service vehicle inventory and maintain company tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Preferably 2+ years of industry experience with all aspects involving gas fireplaces.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills..
• Strong customer service and communication skills, possess a “can do” attitude.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and punctual.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
