FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Pay: $22–$27 per hour, based on experience

DH Construction & Improvements LLC is looking for a dependable Field Service Technician to join our team.
We are looking for someone with approximately 3–5 years of hands-on construction, remodeling, or property maintenance experience. You do not need to be a master carpenter, but you should have good basic construction skills, know your way around tools, and be comfortable handling a variety of repairs and service work.
This is a hands-on position with a lot of variety. One day you may be completing a punch list or warranty repair, and another day you may be handling a service call, helping finish a bathroom remodel, making a basic carpentry repair, or delivering materials to a jobsite.
We want someone dependable who can be given a clear assignment, figure out what needs to be done, communicate any problems, and follow the job through to completion.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Handle service calls and warranty work
- Address customer and tenant repair concerns
- Investigate complaints and report what you find
- Complete punch-list and project closeout items
- Perform basic carpentry and general repairs
- Repair trim, doors, hardware, fascia, soffit, siding, and similar items
- Perform minor drywall and painting repairs
- Handle basic exterior and property-maintenance repairs
- Assist with bathroom remodels, decks, and other small construction projects
- Pick up, deliver, return, and stage construction materials
- Assist with post-construction cleanup on smaller projects
- Take before-and-after photos and document completed work
- Recognize when something is outside the original scope and communicate it before proceeding
- Keep tools, work areas, and company vehicles organized
- Communicate professionally with customers, tenants, property managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and our project management team
- 3–5 years of construction, remodeling, maintenance, or similar experience preferred
- Basic carpentry and general repair skills
- Comfortable using common construction tools
- Able to troubleshoot basic field problems
- Able to work independently once given a clear scope of work
- Dependable and punctual
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Organized and able to follow through
- Willing to handle both construction work and project-support duties
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- $22–$27 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skill level

That could include managing service tickets from start to finish, performing walkthroughs, preparing material lists, coordinating helpers or subcontractors, communicating directly with property managers and customers, and eventually taking ownership of small repair and renovation projects.
