Field Technician – Residential Construction / Custom Home Builder

SEI is a design-build general contractor building custom homes and Pacific Palisades fire rebuilds. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Field Technician to support our jobsites. You'll work alongside our superintendent and trade partners. This is a hands-on role with room to grow into a larger position as the company continues to expand.
What you'll do
Keep jobsites clean, organized, safe, and client-ready
Assist trades with layout, material handling, and general labor
Take accurate field measurements and verify dimensions against plans
Perform light construction tasks such as blocking, patching, protection, and minor repairs
Handle exterior work: site cleanup, erosion control, fencing, and material staging
Receive and check deliveries, and track materials and tools
Take jobsite photos and report progress and issues to the superintendent

What we're looking for
1+ year of construction experience in any trade or as a general laborer
Precise with a tape measure: you read fractions, check twice, and cut once
A clean, organized work style, because we build high-end homes and it shows
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy; you treat the client's property and company tools like your own
Comfortable with physical work, including lifting 50 lbs, working outdoors, and on ladders
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Wants a long-term career, not just a job

Strong plus

Foundation and/or framing experience (layout, forming, reading framing plans)
Bilingual English/Spanish
OSHA-10 certification (we will train you if you don’t have it)

Pay: $27–$30/hr DOE
